75, of Port Huron, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on June 8, 1945, son of the late James and Bernita (Carl) Watson.

Thomas married Karen Kroetsch on May 8, 1981, in Port Huron.

Thomas attended Port Huron High School and then worked for Cargill Salt Company for 42 years. He also worked on his 150 year old family farm that has been in the family since 1864. He enjoyed hunting, camping, canoeing, gardening, farming, and spending quality time with his friends and family. He loved his cows, chickens, and his cat, Tommy.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 40 years, Karen Watson are his children, Arthur Watson of Croswell, Kevin Watson of Fargo, Darcy (Eric) Ankner of Lakeworth, Florida, Deana (Mark) Clawson of Port St. Lucy, Florida, Brenda (Bill) McMurtrie of Yale, Dottie (Robert) Brayman of Rockwood, Cindy (Mike) Nichols of Port Huron, Susan Watson of Port Huron, and Joe (Lianne) Benedict of Fort Gratiot; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne, David, Jerry and Carol Watson; and his infant brother.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home-Hancock Street. Chaplain Cathy Jo McMaken and Pastor Greg McBride will officiate.
