Ida J. Whitman, 70, of Clyde Township, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 after a brief illness.

She was born August 16, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Ernest and Mildred Hall. She married Clinton R. "Clint" Whitman on January 20, 1968 in Port Huron.

Mrs. Whitman was a waitress for several years. She enjoyed golfing, baking, gardening, going to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Clint; three children, Charles Whitman, Clinton Whitman II and Deborah Whitman; six grandchildren, Gavin Whitman, Jessie Dennis, Elliana Lakawskas, Jodi (Tony) Powell, Michelle Sheffer and Stephanie Kimmerly; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline (Carlos) Torres, Ruth (Dale) Minard and Joan (Tom) Easton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Joy Whitman; and three sisters, Virginia Ledsworth, Grace Roach and Kay Ledsworth.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
