C.J. Teahan, 79, passed on January 15, 2026, after a relatively short battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Teahan; her two children, Caron Davis (John) and Matt Schreer; her stepsons, Scott (Gelyn) and B.J. (Beth) Teahan; her sister, Suzanne Hite (Peter) and brothers, Robert Hathaway (Nina) and William Hathaway, all siblings of their predeceased father, Frank Hathaway, from his second marriage, and also survived by Frank's second wife and C.J.'s stepmother, Ruth Hathaway; and her grandchildren, Garrett, Iverich, and Graham Teahan. C.J. is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
She is also preceded in death by father-in-law, George Teahan, mother-in-law, Ann Teahan, and brothers-in-law, Michael Lindstrom and Gerald Grisius.
She will always be remembered for her love, (and most definitely of the countless children whom she taught throughout her profession in education), her kindness, her strength and resiliency, and for being a Wolverine thru and thru; GO BLUE!
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00PM -8:00PM, at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St, Brighton, MI 48116.
A funeral service will take at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 2101 S. Hacker Rd, Brighton, MI 48114 on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00AM, with visitation prior to the service, starting at 10:00AM. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. She will be privately laid to rest at Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged in Carol's name to Shepard of the Lakes Lutheran School and to the Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter. Please see below for online donations, and mailing address.
