John Flinchbaugh

John K. Flinchbaugh Jr., age 56, died suddenly of natural causes, Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in his home, in Bakersfield, California.

He was born October 2, 1946 in Port Huron to John K. Flinchbaugh, and the late Phyllis Gillert Flinchbaugh. He was a graduate of Port Huron High School, and earned an Associate Degree from SC4. For the past 18 years, John made his home in Bakersfield, California, and currently was employed with the Seco West Coast Oil Company as an Electrical Technician.

John is survived by his father, John K. Flinchbaugh Sr., and his stepmother, Lea Flinch-baugh; sister, Nancy Kay Randolph of Sanford, Florida, several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.

He was an intelligent and talented young man. He had a great interest in cars, both in working on them, and in drag racing. He had a patent pending with a co-worker for an invention to give better gas mileage to cars with less pollution. Christmas was a favorite time of year for him. He also had a great compassion for animals, and had just adopted two stray kittens. John will be greatly missed by his fellow workers and friends. They will remember him for his quick wit, and his generous spirit.

Cremation has taken place, and interment has taken place in Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron, Michigan. A memorial service was held. Those considering an expression of sympathy may memorialize him by making a donation to the charity of their own choice.
