Wallace B. "Wally" Dobbs, Jr. Port Huron Twp. Mr. Wallace Benson Dobbs, Jr., 61, of Port Huron Township, died Monday, June 2, 2008 at home. He was born October 3, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas to Ida and the late Wallace B. Dobbs. He married Linda Kay Meyers on November 15, 1983 in Port Huron. Mr. Dobbs was a trained chef who owned and operated Wally's Munchery. He also worked at several other area restaurants including Cavis Grill for thirteen years. He proudly served his country with two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He received many military honors, including the Purple Heart. He lived for his family and always spoiled his dogs. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda; three children, Sherrilynn, Tracey and Kyle Dobbs; three grandchildren, Caleb Dobbs, Vaughn Rose and Nigel Springer; his mother, Ida Engleson; his mother-in-law, MaryAnn Meyers; two sisters, Sherrie Lee Dobbs and Linda Glover; a sister-in-law, Teresa Meyers; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Meyers and Robert Meyers; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Thomas Engleson; two brothers-in-law, Clint Meyers and Bob Glover; and most recently by his father-in-law, Richard D. Meyers. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Rod Penrod of Marysville Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans. Memorials may be made to the Family.
