Joyce M. Fry

Joyce M. Fry, 77, of Marysville, passed away on January 26, 2024, with her husband by her side. She was born on October 26, 1946, in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Bert and Marjorie LaLonde. She married James E. Fry on July 5, 1975, in Port Huron, having been married 48 years.
Joyce graduated from Port Huron High School in 1964. She played the clarinet in the High School marching band. Joyce also attended St. Clair County Community College from 1964 to 1966, where she earned her associate degree. Joyce worked for the Times Herald and for 26 years at the cable tv company. Joyce loved to cook and bake, especially cookies, pies, breads, and cinnamon rolls. She was an avid Tigers fan. In her earlier years she loved flying with her husband to Put-In-Bay, Mackinaw Island, Traverse City, Niagara Falls, Myrtle Beach South Carolina, and Win Schuler’s in Marshall Michigan.
Joyce is survived by her husband, James Fry; her brother, Lyle LaLonde; special cousins, Mary Colgan and family, and Jack LaLonde; four nephews, Robert, Steve, Mick, and Eric LaLonde and their families; five sisters-in-law, Nancy Duman, Jane Rea, Beth Fountain, Lauralie Pionk, and Carolyn Lindley; two brothers-in-law, Carl Fry and Dwight Fry.
Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Gary LaLonde.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
