Robert R. “Bob” Edie, age 80, of Fort Gratiot Twp., passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, with his beloved family by his side. He was born on October 4, 1945, in Port Huron to the late Byron and Wilma Edie.
My dad loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild, who truly held his heart. He loved teaching others anything they wanted to learn, whether it was about repairs, cars, or simply how to fix things with patience and care.
He enjoyed many years of attending car shows and proudly showing off his amazing 1965 Oldsmobile 442. Through his passion for muscle cars, he built countless friendships with people who shared the same love and appreciation for classic cars, being a proud member of the United Street Machine Association, he formed some of his most cherished lifelong friendships.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Kristina) Edie, his daughter, Stacy Edie, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard and Harold, His cherished wife Connie, and Sonja who brought such joy to his life.
He was deeply loved and will be remembered by so many for his kindness, generosity, and the way he made people feel welcome wherever he went.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
