Judith Ruth Squires, 71, of Port Huron, died September 3, 2017 at McLaren Port Huron.

She was born November 11, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Roscoe and Myrtle Sharette. She married Ronald W. Squires in 1964 in Port Huron.

Judy was a 1964 graduate of Port Huron High School and was a life-time Port Huron resident. She was employed with the Salvation Army, 3D and later as a local Avon lady where she won many awards. Her favorite job was devoting herself to her family. Her love for them was endless and unconditional. Many family members have referred to her as the family matriarch.

She found great joy in spending her time vacationing, reading, coloring and watching films. She was also a big music fan including Elton John and Cher. Her favorite artist was Elvis Presley and she had a large collection of his memorabilia.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald; sons, Ross William Squires, Scott Allen Squires and Shane Lee Squires; grandchildren, Armando Squires, Julian Squires, Adrain Squires, Ellie (Dan) Stickler, Anthony (Amy) Squires, Justin (Sandra) Squires, Ashley Squires, Scott Squires, Ryan Squires, Aneisha Todd and Arianna Squires; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sisters, Pamela Bruno, Kathy Dickinson and Rebecca (Randy) Van Norman. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Scaramuzzo, Wendy Sharette-Wachner and Deborah Kosciecha.

A celebration of Judy's life and birthday will be held at 1:00 pm on November 11, 2017 at the American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8, Port Huron. Burial has taken place in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.

A memorial for her sister, Deborah Kosciecha, will be held this summer.
