Jane E. Simpson, age 68,  went home to Jesus July 1, 2015 in her home with Richard at her side after a long illness.  She was born August 17, 1946 in Midland, Michigan to James and Nellie Riddle and lived in this area for most of her life.  She was an alumnus of Bethel College, and graduated with a 4.0 grade point average.  Jane began her career as a Teacher in 1968 at Garfield School, then taught at Great Lakes Christian School, New Life Christian Academy & finally Landmark Academy where she retired in 2002 after 23 years of teaching 1st & 2nd grade.  Jane was a member of Colonial Woods Missionary Church and sang in their choir for 42 years.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Simpson, 2 sons, Chadwick (Michele) Simpson, and Jason Simpson, 6 grandchildren, Reed, Emily (Zachary) Wheeler, Laura (Patrick) Hagan, Jazmyne, Ceionna, and Elena, 4 great-grandchildren, Eli, Benjamin, Rylan, and Savannah, 2 brothers, her twin "womb-mate", Jim (Linda) Riddle and Richard (Mary Anne) Riddle, a sister, Marilyn Woolley, along with several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place at 11 AM Wednesday at Colonial Woods Missionary Church with Pastor Bruce Ake officiating.  A graveside committal will follow at Kinney Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street.  There will also be visitation at the church on Wednesday beginning at 10 AM.   Memorials may be made to Colonial Woods Missionary Church.  www.smithfamilyfuneralhome.com.
