Diane Lynn Jansen, 74, of Waddell, Arizona died Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

She was born November 4, 1945 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Bernice Masar. She married Edward J. Jansen Jr. on October 3, 1964 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Huron.

Diane was a caregiver for her daughter Julie. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, hummingbirds, sewing, quilting, lighthouses, country western dancing, socializing, and was strong in her Christian faith.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward; daughters, Sarah (Chuck Molett) Jansen-Molett and Julie Jansen; grandchildren, Tyler and Casey Jansen, and Carstyn Molett; brother, Gerald Masar; sister, Jean Teak Kingsbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Masar Jr. and Gaylord Masar.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 with a procession leaving Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Anyone wishing to process to the cemetery should arrive at the funeral home by 10 a.m.

I’m so sad to hear about Diane’s passing. We lived in different states, but my favorite memories were our playing basketball together at Grant School. We were close teammates and traveled to different schools to play. May her family and friends find peace, comfort, and strength during this sad time.
