Robert Evans

Robert E. Evans, 74, of Kimball Township, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 21, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Donald and Pearl Evans. He married Yvonne Heather Dart on March 24, 1984 in Port Huron.

Robert retired from Dunn Paper Company in 2007 after 42 years of service. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Port Huron High School and attended St. Clair County Community College. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge #3702, Charles Hammond American Legion Post #8, and loved to hunt, fish, and garden.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Yvonne; three children, David Evans, Robert (Tracey) Evans and Cynthia Evans; a granddaughter, Morgan Pratt; brother, Ronald (Diana) Evans; two sisters, Kathy Gillies and Donna Jesse; special friends, Gordon and Maureen Inch; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry Evans.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a procession to Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
