Sandra Annette "Duffy" Pence, 70, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

She was born April 3, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Andrew and Edna Dortman. She married James Pence on September 18, 1965 in St. John's United Church of Christ, Port Huron.

Mrs. Pence loved her husband of 51 years, her children, her grandchildren and her little dog, Annie. She enjoyed cooking, especially Chinese, baking, decorating cakes and quilting. She had a wicked sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Her great passions were reading and ceramics.

She is survived by her husband, James; four children, Shawn (Khyla) Pence, Jennifer (Mark) DeVooght, Eric (Jennifer) Pence and Elizabeth Pence; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Woolman; a sister-in-law, Joanne Dortman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dortman and Donald Dortman; and an infant sister.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in St. John's United Church of Christ. Dr. Richard E. Hotchkin will officiate.
