Diane E. Black Snyder, 58, of Port Huron Twp., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 in Mercy Hospital Emergency Room unexpectedly.  She was born on Sept 25, 1946 in Port Huron.

Diane was a Southeastern Michigan Transit Authority Bus driver for 25 years.  She was a member of the Women of the Moose.  She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid crafter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lynda Hicks of Ijamsville, MD; daughter, Tina M Putze-Thieke of Port Huron Twp; four grandchildren, Jeremy Putze, Benjamin and Andrew Hicks and Stephanie Stroshein; parents, Donald J. and Alberta Black of Port Huron Twp.; step-daughter, Shannon Snyder of Hastings, MI; step-grandson, Trey Snyder, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia "Patti" (Hicks) Stroshien, who died Nov 27, 2002; grandparents, Fred and Pearl Black and Mina and Albert Durette; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave at 17th St. The Rev. Ralph McCallum will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jeremy Putze, Jeff Frazer, Sean Durette, Stephen Durette, Mark Durette, Charles Hicks and Gary Rankin.  Honorary pallbearers will be Donald J. Black and Tina Putze-Thieke.  Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
